Default Wirral-ish recommendations please

The new love of my life needs some tlc

Firstly, it has a seriously dodgy handbrake. Does anyone know if MY05 WRX should have hill start? Previous 2 scoobs have, and they were lower spec but not sure about this one? Doesnt work anyhow

I also want to book it in for a service, it currently has a full Subaru service history - is it worth keeping this up? Not even sure whether there's decent Subaru garage around here or should I just go with someone who knows what they are doing - I can do most of it myself but not sparks

So, looking for some advice and recommendations - I dont mind travelling within reason - rather have Wirral based but not adverse to going through the tunnel or heading the other way into North Wales - any excuse for a good run

Thanks!

just a point to consider jo, silverstone autosport is a subaru authorised service centre, so could be something to consider if keeping the manual "officially serviced" is what you want, however........ i for one dont believe it makes a blind bit of diffrence who services your car and stamps it as long as they know what they are doing, yes, people say it adds value to have authorised stamps throughout, but no more than having it thoroughly checked throughout, diagnostic tested etc. for the record, taken my car to DD and Silverstone and found both good. i just take mine somewhere else now more local thats a subaru specialist.

If you want to travel a little further out to probably THE best subaru dealer in the North West (if not the UK ) then Prosport in Stockport is where you really need to go, no messing you about, they just get the job done properly (and you get a cuppa too )

I think it depends on what you're looking to get done .. Dyno Demon have been spot on for me and I believe Steve and Luke are willing to lose a sale to keep a customer ..

Remap I'd go with someone who maps for a living .. JGM or Andy F .. nothing against Ste or Luke but if you only do that, you're gonna be good ..IMO

Thanks guys

Never having had my previous scoobs remapped I was a bit worried about it and some of the stories I've heard, I can't afford for it to go wrong Got some good details there tho, so it does help narrow it down, thank you Even after 6 years of scooby ownership I feel like a novice
