Blackpool Tonight :D :D :D
What a fantastic night
Had a whale of a time, yet again
Superb turnout, think I counted about 90 scoobs, a cavalier, and an Evo
Got some reasonable pics
And a big thanks to Buzzer & DK1, I have some great potential photoshoppable pics
Will get them up tomorrow night after the pod
Forgot to add, the crowds were great tonight too
Looks like we did well on the donations too
Stickers looked fantastic also
My clutch, well you could smell it all the way down the Golden Mile
and apprently a massive pop'n'bang nearly killed some pensioners who allegedly swore like bu66ery afterwards, and had been enjoying it upto that point

Sonic, Did you enjoy your MaccyD's
Yeah, great night all round.
Took over a hour to get down to the prom frolm Halfords. Did anyone manage to cruise the full prom? I gave up after a bit and went home.
What was the score with all the traffic!

Maccy D's filled the gap just nicely
Yep managed to cruise the full prom, I think the problem with the traffic was that 2 ambulances were going down the prom, in opposite directions, and as we headed south, no cars came north for quite a while, the road was actually empty !!
Still a top night

A brilliant event, (my first Scooby event) an awesome sight with the unforgettable sound of Scoobies filling the air.
A night to remember for me and my family.
I've put a few shots on Sonics gallery posting.
Thanks Frank and everyone else who organised the event.
Big-G and family.

The gathering at Halfords was great - especially the beaut P1
But sorry, gotta say the 'Prom Cruise' just didn't happen for me and a lot who were behind me.
Took at least 1 1/2 hrs to get to the start of the GM from the Retail Park, only police I saw seemed to be preventing cars joining the Mile from Squires Gate Lane but letting loads through from Lytham St Annes way
Loads of Scoobs in front of me got bored waiting in queue and U-turned to go back up the road & try and cut in further up the mile.
When I eventually got to the mile there were about 4 of us together - didn't see any more Scoobs, after another 1/2 hour we'd moved about 500 yds & TBH I couldn't see that we'd get to the end of the mile before midnight & it ended up where we all spun round & ended up back at McDs where a load of others came back to also.
Hope we made a fair lump for the charity though, it was just a shame we all got separated so early after leaving Halfords. Didn't seem to be any sign of the police trying to marshal the traffic in order to keep us together.
I know you put a lot of effort into organising it Frank but for various reasons it didn't come off as well as I had expected, but hope there is a BBO 2005 - just need the police to do what I thought they were gonna do this year

Morning All,
The excellent news is that we raised £550.31 for 'give a child a chance', with the £600 that the company i work for have pledged, together we have raised a grand total of
£1150.31.
Like to thank ................
* Brian H for Marshalling at Halfords
* Simon C, who had agreed to help marshalling, but who's car played up, during the day, and couldnt make it.
* Andy (Sticky Stuff) (onsigns) for donating the window stickers and banner.
* Halfords, for allowing us to use their land
* Craig - who 'run' from the roundabout half way back to the funfair, to see where everyone was, and gave us help getting thru the back way to the lights.
* thanks to all 108 who turned up last night to make it a really memorable event. would have been 109, but flame thrower wasnt one of us.
(106 scoobs, 1 evo, and my bro' in the green cavalier)
and a big hug for my g'f who has had to put up with me being narky for the past couple of days, and getting the 'leave me alone im thinking' reply...
Unfortunately the traffic was manic last night, apologies to those leaving Halfords who didnt get the message to 'turn right at the traffic lights, before the hump back bridge'....and to go straight on until you come to the mid point of the lights. The Police had agreed to help us get into the lights flow, but unfortunately, we couldnt get to them, - hence the right turn.
Of the Police i spoke to, 3 of them were informed about our meet, sadly it appears that one other denied knowing anything, and seems to have put a bit of a downer on what had up until then been for me, and others, 'a brilliant night' .......... we did have permission to go back to Halfords at the end, as long as we did not create any annoyance....and the event was given Police Ok, as i can provide anyone with all the contacts details of the person's i liased with in setting this up..
I hope for all, you had a memorable night, ....for all the right reasons.
And once again a big thankyou to every one who assisted ....
Once i get the receipt from 'Give a child a chance'. i will post a copy on here.
Regards
Frank

Got to be said the Meet up at Halfords was something else and for my first Sccob meet was fantastic, shame we all didn't know which way we were going as could of made a larger convoy if known. We returned to Halfords to be greeted by the local officer in a Volvo having a few choice words with a lad in a Pulsar had a chat with him took pictures of his reg plates and was overheard saying " look at all the other reg plates here and look at yours it's to small get it sorted" with which he let him out with what looked like a producer, he then glanced over at me asked if we were ok and with that drove off.
I must also say thanks to CW42 for letting us convoy down with him and the rest of the SMACS the trip home was great on the unlit motorway sections.
Hope maybe we can meet again like lastyear before the lights were turned off !!!!!!

Thanks to Frank and everyone else involved with making the BBO happen. My first run and enjoyed every minute (even doing laps around the roundabout). My kids were loving all the shouts of "great car" from the sightseers hanging out of the sunroofs.
Think it made the night that extra bit special for all the people who came out just to see the lights and witnessed the procession of Scoobs.
Didn't get back to Halfords after, kids were too tired, was there some hassle from the police?

As has already been mentioned, the Police back at Halfords were great. The one who I had a quick word with said that he was expecting us, asked if we'd had a good time, and told us that we should have gone on Friday, 'cos the traffic was much better.
Well done the boys in blue.
As for the night, just want to echo everyone else and say that we (me, wiff and kids) thoroughly enjoyed it. I have some video footage which just needs editing down. I was the twonk in the Subaru jacket standing in the central reservation in the middle of the Golden Mile filming and chatting to some of you as you were on your way back from the turn-round point, then running back to the front to catch up with the missus. (knackered!!)

Looks like an excellent night was had by all.
I am majorly pi**ed off that I couldn't make it, I got as far as Kettering before I had no choice but to turn round and limp the car to a mates house. Needless to say I am now a member of the AA, thanks to my parents.
The car was being a right bugger, in the end she would stall and refused to start for 3 people. The AA turn up, put a spark checker in the #1 HT lead and it started first time
The plan for today was get my car started and hit Santa POd to meet you guys in a mates car, that went right out the window.
I will make BBO 2 next year and a few more events once the car is happy.
Frank, I'm sorry for letting you down on the day, and for everybody I'd promised to say hello to.
Frank, DK+TurboRay. I'll drop you all a Pm.

Posted comment elsewhere aswell but thought I'd add to it. Me the wife and kids enjoyed ourselves so much we can't wait till the next one. My mate Tommy would like to thank Frank ( redwrx )and everybody for being friendly towards him and his Legacy B4-apart from Mr.Plod in the Volvo at Maccy D's at the end of the night. Mr.Plod asked if his aluminium boot spoiler was "E" marked???? To which the reply was I don't know what your on about. Other than that-a top night was had by all and once again huge thanks to Frank and others who organisied BBO.
Cheers Paul.

Just some of my Highlights.....
Some bloke running over to the car, and asking if we wouldnt mind not moving so he could get a picture of us all.... to which i replied..."you'll need one hell of a wide angle lens to get us all in"
18 scoobs going round the roundabout - absolute class...mayhem.!!
"look at 'all' the subaru's".......................must have had good eyesight.
Sonic - i want one of those stormtrooper masks..
