I'm after a camera that I'd really like to buy from JL because of the two year warranty. It's nearly £80 more expensive than Currys though, would they price match like they do on TVs?

They say they do but you have to provide the evidence afaik.

As long as it is the exact same model and from a shop not a internet based company they will price match

I've looked into a price match small print and it states warranty charges are taken into account. So as JL give two years and Currys give one year I presume they'll use that as a reason to not price match?

They almost certainly will price match, regardless of warranty offerings.

Several years ago i challenged them to a price match against an company on Tottenham Court Road - they even phoned 'em to confirm the price and i saved a few hundred quid at the time (when camcorders used tape).

No wonder that they get repeat business from me.

Yeah they are pretty good, they price matched my TV (£1299) in John Lewis, got it matched for £769 with 5 year warranty also, proper handy!

Thanks. JL only had one left in stock so I ordered it because I need the camera for an upcoming holiday. I have 28 days to get the price match so I'll give it a go.

I could have had a free 5-year gauarnatee on the TV I bought, had I bought from JL.
Sadly, at the time, no-one had any stock. I eventually found one at Currys in Hull.
