I am due to fly to Sharm with the family next month, but due to the bombing and other threats I am concerned .
We would not be able to leave the resort,. which seems a bit pointless really,. would rather just changed the destination.. but at the expense of a extra £200 per person min.
I have spoken to our tour operator qwerty travel and they are not very helpful at all- they will not budge on the fee's unless the foreign office deem Sharm to be unsafe,. currently the only place in the country that is meant to be ok due to increased security,. even though German tour operators are now pulling all German tourists out and refunding the remainder of their holidays.

as above, do you think tour operators should be more flexible

Going to Sharm on Thursday and can honestly say the clippers going a bit. Won't be getting on any public transport and will probably chain myself to a bar stool in the hotel and stay there

Yes , my thoughts are pretty much the same,. but what is the point when you can't go out of the resort ,. would of liked to see the pyramids and ride a camel -
would you change the holiday if it didn't cost anymore?

Germans sound more careful, but I don't think British tourists care that much once they're there. They just get p!ssed to fcck, act dead unruly and make loads of noise that it sounds like a war, anyway.
In all seriousness, I've been told that it's fine there, and nothing to worry about. I hope it's true.

Daughter was a Rep for Thomsons in Sharm. as far as I can remember when there is trouble in Cairo it effected the food supply to Sharm.
She was actually on Watchdog was my Daughter, after the Red Sea Holiday Village was slated for everyone having ****s.
Thomsons the company and First choice same people, are terrible, I used to class them as the best but when TUI took over its slave labour, heavy pressure sales for trips arrogant etc.
She left and went to work for Thomas Cook 20 million times better.
As for the resort, just wash your hands a lot as the Egyptians are filthy *******s, the gardners used to take ****s in the flower beds she was telling me.
maybe take some Antibiotics just incase u do get funny tummy.
Positive note Divings very good and its bloody hot.
Wouldn't be my choice though, but then you don't know what I knew.....
Dominican republic Iberostar Costa Dorada is the best.

Well id probably agree, but you never know some cultures don't give a Fack.
problem was in Sharm was the Money is very Dirty, but also the guys who clean the pool are, and they don't do it properly.
Normally when doing the pool you leave it over night, as youll prob see on Holidays you've all been on. But in sharm they just tip a bucket of **** into the pool whilst everyones in. Not great. So the bugs get in ya system and you get the runs
