That's good news - would love to see a return to the days when there was about eight major manufacturers competing - mind you, could say the same for rallying.
Honda are going to run the Civic Estate. Seems a long time ago since Volvo stormed the field with their estate.

I know I'm being pedantic here but:
The old Volvo WAS a Volvo, whereas the current Civic uses a NGTC/TOCA generic front and rear subframes and suspension and a Vauxhall derived engine...just like most of the other cars on the grid. The only thing specific to the manufacturer on most BTTC cars is the bodyshell (minus its front a and rear chassis legs...as they are chopped off for the NGTC subframes ).
In other words BTTC cars are pretty much silohette racers (like NASCARs) rather than road cars modified for track use. The badge on the front of the car is pretty much meaningless bar it representing the team that runs it.
I know I know, racing them can still be fun, but you know...I like to have Hondas that ARE Hondas and Volvos that ARE Volvos, like in the 1980/90s
