gees I was stuck on the M25 for about 3-4 hours junction 23-25 was shut!!

I have no idea why - does anyone know why???? Id like to find out, I missed my curry in london cos of that! but really it must have been some big crash or something.

If there was a fatality as a result of the crash the fuzz shut the roads until all evidence etc has been gathered and the scene is clear

We've had a few shut roads down here recently (M3 for 8 hours, M27 for 5 hours....) and I believe that this is the reason, could be wrong tho (again ).

Tell me about it, I was stuck there as well, It took me nearly 1 1/2 hours to get from J22 St. Albans to J23 the A1(M). Aparently it was closed because 2 lorries had jacknifed at J25 the A10 exit. I guess they did not want to much traffic going thru potters bar hence the closure at 23. Then the police decided it would be a good idea to take the traffic down to 1 lane before the sliproad, and then let it back to 2 lanes again once on the sliproad. Surely 2 just down to 2 lanes would have helpded the traffic flow more freely

These frigging lorry drivers are always jack-knifing ! what the **** is going on with them ? too busy opening their Yorkie bars and not concentrating !!!

So I wasnt the only one in it. Managed to do some cross country back road belts to go from 23 - 25, through potters bar then down some b-roads or somewhere. what a lional that was.

M25 J8 to J9 closed yesterday after lorry fell over. It must have happened at about 9am but they didn't clear it until late afternoon. It amazes me the slow speed that they work at to remove such problems. Also, what annoys me even more is that I came past going the other way at about 10.30am when 2 lanes were closed and tailback was past J8 but they don't think to close J8 entry slip. The poor b*ggers are coming down the slip road, not aware of any problem until its too late and are then sat in the queue for an hour +

I went around the M25 (junction 21 to 30) at about 2:30pm on Friday and no problems.

Must have occurred after this.

I am doing the same journey Friday.. going to be slightly later as I will be towing my big trailer.. and it is bank holiday weekend, it is going to be a nightmare...
