Phone Chesterfields on 02086079707 and ask for Alison or Simone.

They should deal direct but if not mention Steve Gaunt and you should be ok. I use them for all my own and clients' stuff as their admin is good and policy's cheap (cost wise).

Bldgs insurance should carry a 12.5% loading and contents a 25% loading on a BTL basis. Just curious, why contents ins.? I assume you are letting furnished.

Also, bear in mind the "will property be occupied within 30 days of completion?" question. I messed up on that last year and cost a small fortune. If it is likely to be unnoccupied, TELL THEM.

Yes - contents as flat is being rented furnished, and therefore need a small amount of contents to cover furnishings, etc.

Wink

Currently the AA seem to be doing pretty good deals on home insurance.. you can specify different address to your own on the form you fill in on line.
