Default Wembley Parking for England game?

Taking my lad and his mates to England v Moldova next Friday night. Although we live inside the M25 the trains to ours don't run late enough for us to do the trip all on rail.

So I've decided to drive, but don't think I want to go all the way into Wembley. So drive to North West London somewhere, then jump onto a Tube for for the last few stops. Also if it has a fast food restaurant so I can keep them fed and watered, that would be good.

Any ideas? I can easily read the tube line, but wonder if anyone has done anything like this?

I booked and parked at Wembley for a play off final a few years ago and it was no hassle at all, I just turned off the main roads ASAP (Wembley Hill Road IIRC) and headed North until I ended up driving past Stanmore tube station, which in turn quickly got me on to the M1. Certainly wouldn't suggest trying to get back on to the North Circ.

As it was, we were having a coffee at Leicester Forest Services whilst the traffic info in the car was still showing gridlock around the stadium and 406.

If you still want to take the tube, Stanmore

If you can find a good place to park the car then the tube will be your best answer.

As soon as you come of the north circular / a40 you will see car parks on the round about its normally about £15 then you can walk up to the ground. It takes about 15 mins.

is it not just easier to pay for secure parking in the grounds and then you don't have the extra travel on the tube which is going to add a few quid and traveling time?

Well it would be £27 to do that and no doubt a complete nightmare when leaving. Also need to feed the boys so was hoping for a fast food restaurant near the tube (and there is at Wembley Park).

So Stanmore - Wembley Park to Macdonalds, then down Wembley Way for a bit of atmosphere. With parking at a fiver. All round not bad I guess.
