Question

Does anyone know of any places, websites etc that do Eurotunnel crossings cheaper than normal. I want to go on a Wednesday in June and come back on a Monday. I can't believe everyone pays £295 - P&O ferry was same(ish) price. I'm prepared to go early in morning/late in evening etc.
Any ideas?

I think the answer is t join the "travel club" or some such. Have a surf around on the website & I think you can get 10/15% off if you join up (free) on your crossings. Can't remember exactly but got told this afterwards by an anorak of a m8 who searches these things out

looked around for the cheapest cross-channel deals ... norfolkline ( dover - dunkerque ) came out best . £139 for 8 day return in june.

Eurotunnel is great for afternoon crossings, but expensive for longer stays..

Actually that's a very good idea about the 2 day trips as they work out a lot cheaper. Has anyone actually tried that? Are there any catches to doing this?

They put a stop to the double day-trip fiddle years ago. Same goes for airline tickets, you can't use the return portion unless you've used the outward portion.

You can use a day-trip on the way out but'll have to pay full single fare on the return journey.

I think there is a Red Cross camp at the French side which entitles you to a free trip across the channel tunnel. Whats makes it even better is that once you manage it you get all sorts of free hand out from the british tax payer and free legal aid, that kinda thing.

Im not sure if you get Sky with all the channels though, I think you need to be claiming dole to get that one.

I really don't see what the issue is with stopping them coming across. You wouldn't need any fences at all if you removed the reasons for them to come over here in the first place.

Thre's a Guy I l know lives in Dover

He has a row boat, I'm sure that if you pay him £20 he'll take you over

Crossing may take a while and it may get a bit hectic at times seeing as the channel is one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world but you'll get a more personal service

I'll give you his number if your interested
