Due to some techy changes you might need to retune your Freeview box.

they did mine a wile back and fkd my PVR up.
When they turned off the analogue they boosted the digital signal, so I now pick up 2 transmitters which interfere with each other. Means I can only watch the BBC channels and pick TV.

Can you guys get GOLD on Freeview? When I get to that channel I get some message saying "Loading Interactive Service" whatever that means and then screen goes blank.
I have a couple of Freeview boxes. One needed a re-tune but the other didn't

Nah, not required for me.
Since they've switched over though the signal power for each transmitter has been turned up and my TV can get signal from several of them, consequence of which keep getting this annoying message that "new channels have been added, please retune" when most of the time there aren't any. Turned off the message now but have no way of knowing when new channels really are added or changed.

quick question for those in the know.
I have a Samsung Freesat box but do not get channel 112 ITV1+1
Can someone please tell me why I don't get it or how I can add it. I am using a Reading postcode in my box so should get ITV1+1 Meridien.
I get all the others and any new channels or channel changes they make but I can't seem to get this one.

if your box can manually tune then tune it to your transmitter

Think that's a pay-channel, part of Top-Up TV. If you have already paid to receive it, then I have no idea.

If you don't have the correct channels, you need to do a manual set-up.
To retune your box manually follow these instructions..

I read the title wrong. I thought you informed SN crowd that their Freeview needed to be returned soon; due to some techy changes. I was about to go 'Haha', and slag Freeview off big style on the opportunity; I wanted to strike when the iron was **** hot. Shame you meant 'retune'.
Disclaimer: I have nothing against Freeview. It's just that when it came in fashion, everybody was buying everyone a Freeview box for Christmas present. It did my head in. I was also asked if I wanted one. I told them to stick it right up there, as I have Sky.
