Default James Herbert - RIP

Just seen that James Herbert has died. Remember reading lots of his books as a teenager, like The Fog. Only 69 as well

Indeed a sad loss; I remember scaring myself silly reading his books rather younger than I should have been!

Damn, was a big fan, read every one of his books, favourites were

The Magic Cottage
Fluke
The Secret of Crickley Hall
Fluke

Well, pretty much all of them.

Not that prolific as an author, a book every couple of years, pretty good result really that in a work versus income versus spare time.

makes me want to take up the mantle and write some horror.

That is sad news

I loved reading his books as a youngster. My first grown-up book was The Rats. I was only about 11 and it scared me sh1tless.

RIP James.

I've read several of his books and the one that stands out in my memory is The Magic Cottage.
