Default Richard III

Very interesting to see the body found buried beneath a Leicester car park is confirmed as that of King Richard III.

You have to doff your cap to the scientists and archaeologists involved in this project, it's pretty amazing stuff. Reading that he will be interned at Leicester Catherdral but as a King of England surely he should have a State funeral at Westminster Abbey.

And are charging them to his estate........

I wish my dad had been alive to see this, he was fascinated with Richard III, ever since doing the Shakespeare play at school, read loads of stuff on it, been to Bosworth, used to quote chunks of the play at us as kids.......

The one I remember was when we used to go camping as a family, and, as we put the tent, or awning up, my dad would say, "Up with my tent! Tonight I lie here, at Bosworth field. Tomorrow where?"

On a serious note, excellent programme but what was that woman all about? Proper loony who just didn't want to accept he was a hunchback that more than likely killed his way to the throne!

I think they did well to find and confirm the identity of the body. There seems to be a bit of a fight about where he will be finally buried.

I may have parked on top of him a few times!

If he knew what we know now,I imagine he would have gone for a different number?

Yeah - that Richard Thirdist woman or whatever she was from the Richard III Society - full on fruitcake

Absolutely ******* proper barmy she was, lol'd at the way she burst into tears when she saw the skeleton laid out on the table with full on proof that he had a massive spinal deformity.... her life's work of denial was shattered into a gazillion pieces..... god I laughed so hard I'm sure a bit of wee came out

There are some right freaks about hey!
