Guess the toneh's DIY mapping thread

What do you reckon his car will make on the rollers at the clinic on 12th January?

"I've finally been forced to get off my **** and crack on with the second phase of my bug mods ( bottom water pipe leak turbo)*It's nearly all stripped and I'm starting to plan the build back upTd 05 18g*Reverse inlet*Rotated turbo*meth/water injection ( aquamist)First question , is there any heat issues with the turbo being in the higher position ?*Second question ,while I'm at it should I go external wastegate ( upside vs downside)Third ) best position for water injection nozzle or should I consider more + how do you calculate water / meth mix /nozzle size*"

Hope it all goes well for you bud, never been to the clinic, bit of a trek from Cardiff
but if I'm free and can get some company would be nice to put a few faces to names and have a scope of the clinics palace, suppose to be better than Alton towers i heard

Not sure what gear, 6 speeds are usually done in 4th IIRC, Sould could be the same or possibly even 3rd, Ive got a graph off my old bug, see if i can find it as that had a 5 speed not done at SC though.

I don't know what difference it has , I assume the dyno is set for whichever the operator chooses

I think cars usually make a bit more in the lower gears and lose a bit in the higher gears, Something to do with having more torque through the lower gears and its safer in the lower gears due to less load etc.. Not to mention keeping the speeds down on the dyno, Busta`s must have been doing 120mph So i`ll say 3rd gear.

I think cars usually make a bit more in the lower gears and lose a bit in the higher gears, Something to do with having more torque through the lower gears and its safer in the lower gears due to less load etc.. Not to mention keeping the speeds down on the dyno, Busta`s must have been doing 120mph So i`ll say 3rd gear.

Blymey didn't think my car went that fast lol,
But the dyno I went to was twice and they used 4th both times, but tbf I don't trust him/them so I'd like to compare and see, when I had td04 it made a awesome figure but when swapped turbo for better one I was a bit surprised it didn't make more as the td04 surprised the power to what I was expecting, so that told me the engine was strong, but like I said, don't trust the dyno man there as he played a smart game and was trying to get money out of me the second time, telling me he can do this that and the other.
