Default The Moon?

Anyone seen the moon tonight, and know what's going on?
Looking at it from my back garden in the dark it appears that there's a massive black/dark ring around it

Or is it just a clear bit of sky?

Although its a perfect round circle shape

Probably cloud/mist, you should have seen it about 4 weeks back when it was really cold, had a halo around it which is quite rare to see (called a moonbow) but you had to be up late for that one

I am not too far from you so conditions here must be the same for you.

I've got Glenmorangie eyes now and there's 2 up there now.

Lol, it's really tickled me, so much so, that I've cracked another can open ( when I said I wouldn't ) and now sat in the back garden watching it

The wife thinks I'm nuts, and asked me what I thought was going to happen next and she's going to bed, night then love.

I'm easily pleased

Saw the space station go over tonight, which was quite neat, the way it "fell away" from the moon as it followed the shape of the earth was very impressive. First time I've seen it with the naked eye.

Well, oop norf we had a lovely sunny day followed by a nearly-clear night sky.

Moon was very unusual.

Here's a similar thing with the sun, taken in barbados April this year. (Apologies for the partial pic, it was too bright to see what was, and what was not, in the rear panel):
