It's great when people recognize one int the street, when one is in show biz.
Only last week this chap came up to me and said, "It's you isn't it, it is you", well I was really chuffed, so I said modestly, "Yes it's me" reaching for my pen to sign my autoghaph, "Aye well he said, when are you going to finnish decorating the my front room then?"

but a few years back this assistant came up to me in Curry's and said "You're that mad guy off the tele", I told him "Yeah do you watch my shows?", he said "You're that mad guy, get off that tele",

I try not to as it only increases their already oversized ego.
Unfortunately it just highlights that the level of intelligence needed to be on "tele" is only slightly above that of a garden mole and even then at least the moles are cute and don't have an adverse effect on the human population.
