Failed what. It took Google ten years and a 10,000 staff to get that level of detail, people on here said Apple couldn't do it, little did they know that you only have to employ 100 smart people and 'Boom' problem gone.

Now when non Apple users ask to see Apple maps they can see their neighbours washing on the line. Good work Apple.

Er Fremantle is the third largest port in Australia and the busiest port on the West coast and the fact that Apple release a map with it mapped completely incorrectly (along with thousands of other mapping f**k ups) shows how arrogant they are.

Mind you when they have their 'sheep' defending them right, left and centre who can blame them?

Apple fired Scott Forstall, the man responsible for iOS6 and Apple Maps, not exactly a great endorsement.

First search on Apple Maps was too vague but in the right area, same for Google so searched both with Google's suggestion of adding WA.

And it probably will do, Apple Maps is still far from complete and no way near in terms of quality, features or accuracy to that of Google Maps. The only way they'll get all they'll be up to date any time soon is for them to buy it from someone who as already put in the years to gather all the images and data.
