Burning poppies and skatboarding...

The anger I feel towards idiots like this.
I have immense respect I have for anyone who has died to fight for their country (ours or any other country) but when you get idiots like this, who have this "right" to be able to do what they do as it was given to them. Not earned.
**** the lot of them. Time to do some house cleaning, we dont need people like that living here.
Saying that, we are stupid enough to just put up with it so why not. Corporations are taking the pi55, immigrants are taking the pi55, BBC are taking the pi55, the government - well, they've ALWAYS taken the pi55, no matter who is in.
Im just wondering what country I live in. I thought it was "Great Britain".
Nothing "Great" about this country.

Wonder at the context... If someone posted a piccie to a mate saying "look I burned a poppy", and it "got out", IMO that's not particularly offensive, idiotic, but no worse than appears from time to time usually from "football supporters". Or it IS offensive but to be a criminal act? I'd hope not, at least, not until there's proper legislation for it.
Simply burning a poppy shouldn't be malicious. In this context however, the message/text supporting the burning image is likely to be.
Would a piccie of poppy fields burning in Afghanistan with a headline of "burning poppies" be offensive or witty?

The problem here isn't about how it offends people, I find it extremely disrespectful but you have to question the point raised in the article about has he done anything to warrant arrest? Where is the line drawn as to how many people need to be offended before someone can be arrested when they haven't actually broken a law?
Like I say I think he needs a good slap for being such a **** but should the police be arresting him when i'd prefer them to be arresting real criminals like burglars and car thieves.
