I don't know anything about that particular TV, but I've had a LG before and would never recommend anybody to buy one.
Mine had dead pixels after 2weeks and they (LG) refused to cover it under warranty as they weren't in the centre of the screen. The centre of the screen was a 2"x2" square, which on a 42" screen is quite small, and there had to be more than 3 within that area.
If I was buying a TV now I'd go to Comet and buy a Samsung or Panasonic
Also, 3d is only worth watching if the film was made specifically for it, IMO

I'm sure that is a very interesting read and I appreciate you posting it for me but, I'm not reading 40 pages worth of posts when you've already told me the outcome. That is quite possibly the exact same tv I had though as it was the same month of the same year I bought mine.
The reason I didn't pursue it further was because it was just before I went away with work for a few months and it kind of got forgotten about, and i'm that rich I just bought a different one!
Anyway, OP, don't buy an LG and expect it to last

2d-3d is a load of rubbish. i have a samsung 3d tv that also has this option.
if its not filmed in 3D in the first place then it looks stupids imo. nothing like a 3D film on blu-ray where its filmed with 2 cameras as such at slightly different angles
and its only HD ready to top it off.. id avoid it mate. get a 1080p screen

2d-3d is pants
at least it is passive, and it isn't that cheap really as the 328 option is OOS but the same TV at 402 quid is in stock LOL
I don't condone this but you could buy one under distance selling regs and return if you don't like the 2d-3d conversion

I'm not so sure I agree it's a novelty. I have it and don't use it every day, but that is because I think it's crap for anything other than 3d films.
I'd seriously consider the tv posted by above by billyrogers

I would avoid a 3D TV that small anyway. Get something much bigger or stick to 2D.
The sport is good in 3Dm and as previously menitioned, films made in 3D. Some of the nature programs in 3D are spectacular.
That said, we haven't watched anything in 3D for a very long time.
