Aftermath of bonfire night.

Aftermath of bonfire night.
Field next to me after bonfire night littered with fireworks and food packaging. After donning my wellies I picked up said rubbish. Dog owners (more or less) pick up after their hounds so why can't adults clean up after themselves and their brood. They don't deserve to live in a nice area. It only takes a few to spoil an area.

I was indeed referring to the OP.
Very few people these days seem to have an personal responcibility.
It is abit like when you see an adult throw their rubbish on the floor when there is a rubbish bin a few yards away.
May be I turning into a grumpy old fart. But I'd rather be concerned about the state of our country than not giving two hoots.

Its the minor incivilities that let people get away with more. Just shows people aren't bothered.
That's why I have no issue with the 'litter *****' as they've been called, fining people £50 for dropping litter. Local newspaper used to publish their pictures too. Excellent work that.

don't worry, as you get older you will realise there is no point ranting about it if you are not going to take an actual action...all you do is reduce your life expectancy

i and all parties in my area picked up all there "debris" from "home" firework displays. even if they didnt i would take the 3 mins to go out and do it myself. it should be taught and be second nature to everyone, without hesitation.
sadly i agree its not always the case, seems my area isnt so bad and full of junkies/murderers ect after all.

Litter is a plague upon us all. Once you start to look it is absolutely everywhere. Many people don't give a **** and certainly don't encourage their offspring to give a ****. Millions of pieces of litter chucked out of car windows every day. See how many littered Lucozade bottles you can spot in a day. Won't take more than a couple of minutes to find the first one wherever you live.
