Question Audio Documentaries/programs? (Apple peeps?) For someone in hospital

Hi all,

Someone I know is in hospital and it looks like they'll be unable to move from lying on their back for a while. I was wondering what I could get for some kind of entertainment, just to take their mind of things. This person likes watching documentaries on the discovery channel etc about the world wars and stuff. I was thinking about getting an iPod at first, if there's a resource that has access to the media I'm looking for, and then getting an iPad when they're a bit better and able to sit up to look at a screen (for actual films). Obviously the audio stuff is only for the first stage when they can't move. Audio books are of interest as well. The documentaries might be a bit grim - the ideal scenario would be comedies like Only Fools and Horses (obviously on an iPad or something) - but I can't really think of anything else at the moment.

Any suggestions at all would be appreciated.

That's actually a really good idea. Even if they do look hilarious.

Do you have any experience of them yourself to know if they're any good?

They're very good. Well, they're rubbish if you're not lying down, apart from laughing at the wearer falling over.

Cheers, Jack. I'm going to order a set next day delivery from somewhere else.
