mosquitoes
I get that with all of the rain and then the heat the mosquitoe population has exploded but will nature balance things out and produce loads of spiders & bats to compensate or are we screwed from now on?
I have never had problems in our garden and then we had a party Friday and everyone woke up eaten alive. There was over 30 mozzies in the house and millions in the garden.
I can only assume they are having a whale of a time in the neighbours pond but will we go back to the normal amount?
Also, other then nets is there anything else you guys use to keep them out

We've got anti-moz screens on the patio doors, back door and all the windows including the velux ones in the attic. Which means everything is nice and open to cool down from the 27oC the living room hit earlier today - and not a mozzie to be seen!

You can get all types of repellents, even plug in ones, you know like the glade plug in air fresh, except its insect repellent.Your high street chemist should have them. The most popular usually contain a chemical called DEET,it was developed by the US Army for jungle warfare, but if you spray it on yourself,it has been known to cause skin irritation etc, keep it away of your eyes and lips,You can also get DEET free sprays now..
