Default OMG £175!!!!

The amazing Carisma that took us to Marbella for the marbella bangers charity event and has been a treasure for the last 3yrs is now in the garage looking sorry for itself..

I am going to sell it and figured with the brand new tyres & exhaust it has to be worth at least £275..

Went on ' We sell any car & polish hookers' And they said it's too old

Went on another site and they would pay out £175 if in excellent condition & I deliver..

what do scrappies pay for cars these days? - In all honesty although it's been amazing it is tired and I have seen better in a scrappy...

£150 ish for a normal sized car. Phonea few local ones and see what they offer.

If It's a runner and has MOT/Tax then bang it on ebay for £300.

It does run with MOT until Nov - Last adviseries were rear plate 3 tyres exhaust and slight play in steering coloum (i think) all but the steering were replaced.

Tax has just run out... It will happily sit at 110 all day long - have a fine to prove it

I was thinkng of banging it on ebay but it is a shed... I don't want time wasters looking and going OMG...

You can't polish a poo but I suppose it will look good in the wet

We had a guy who bought a Carisma for a few hundred notes and to be frank its not a bad motor. For a 1.6 it pulled really well...alot more low rev torque tham many modern cars with larger petrol engines (2.0).

The only problem it had was it wouldn't idle when cold. It was a ECU problem, which was solved on the cheap via a switch fitted on the dash that would send battery voltage to the idle control valve and hold it full open. Saved the need for heel and toeing it in traffic to stop it stalling

Being honest if the car can get past an MOT, its worth a few hundred quid in its own right IMO.

"Hilarious" and brutally honest ebay ad then.
There are people out there looking for bangers to do the mongol/scumball wahtever rally in, if it has MOT to november than it's worth a few hundred quid, in fact I'd bang 6 months tax on it, highlight new tyres good runner but no looker etc and it'll be worth a few hundred as 6 months motoring to someone, with the chance it passes next MOT and runs on forever.
