Default iPod dock wifi etc

Hi guys,
Bit of help needed. I would like a iPod/iPhone type dock or reciver for my hifi system, but must be wifi compatable. Is there any good units out there to get for me to do this?
I know you can buy docks on there own with built in speakers for wifi capabilities, at a price. But what good units are out there for my hifi. I could just get a dock but can't be bothered putting phone in all the time.
Any enthusiasts out there that can point me in the right direction.
Cheers

Plug it into your HiFi, connect it to your WiFi - Nice app for that - play music from your iPod/iPad/iTunes.

Yes just looked at app for that. So do I plug it into the rear of my hifi via phono plugs etc and away I go?
Sorry but a bit of a newbie to these technical advances.

You plug it into your HiFi in the same way as you would an iPod. It has Optical output as well.

Just been doing a bit of reasearch into this and I want it to play my music NOT iTunes.
I want it to play MY MUSIC that's on my iPhone just like it would as if it was a docking device to my hifi, BUT via wifi.
Think these plug thingys are to play iTunes only from pc or mac.
So still confused.com

You can channel the audio from your iPhone straight to your stereo, an extra item appears on your phone to let you choose which speakers to use. It does everything you want it to, plus you can use iTunes if and when.

You could also look at the Apple TV, which does what you want to do but also streams video and plays games from your phone or online.

What through the remote app? If so then ok will be good. All the music in my iTunes is on my phone in my music, not bothered about tv streaming etc.
If all correct I'll go and buy one, there a few on fleabay going for bargains although there are only £79 new.
Also did you say an optical cable can go in for better sound quality as the jack plugs don't produce as good sound imo

You don't need to use remote on your iPhone, just play music as you normally would but choose the airport as the speakers.

It does optical, not sure what cable you need.

Would that option only be available when paired with the airport?

You connect the Airport to your Wifi then anything else that's on your WiFi can send music to the Airport.

No problem. Setup should be simple, if you stumble ask on here.

Someone will be along shortly to inform us that we're idiot sheep for buying Apple products. Ignore them and enjoy your music.
