Default My Little Girl...

I'm crapping myself. My 16 month old Daughter tomorrow will undergo plastic surgery on her nose at the Queen Victoria hospital in East Grinstead. She fell off the sofa at my sister-in-law's house and cracked the bridge of her nose on the edge of the coffee table.

I don't know why I'm saying this i just had to share it.

Very best of luck although I imagine she's in the best of care

Our 'little' boy Isaac is 14 months now and getting more bumps as he walks further and explores more. Just something you have to be wary of and sometimes ride your luck

Always worrying for any parent when it's one of your kids who has to go under general, not a nice feeling at all.

As others have said she will be fine, just try be relaxed at the hospital as if she sees you worked up it it will rub off on her.

All the best and just look forward to spoiling her when she comes home.

Thanks everyone. I'll post a pic up a bit later. I was at work at the time and by the time i made it to my sister-in-law's she was already in the ambulance.
I'll need to get a little prezzie for the scoob also for not running out of petrol whilst on the second line of "E" the whole time.

A couple of mine have had ops with general and so I know where you are coming from.

Little ones are tough as old boots though with what they get up to and do to themselves and still just get on with it where adults would be complaining like mad. Just make her laugh lots when there tomorrow and she will be fine.

Fingers crossed matey. Ive got two young children ( 1 and 3 ) and would be scared / worried too. Im sure everything will be okay though :-)

Let us know how it goes. Sounds to me the little lady needs a nice new cuddly toy / teddy when she wakes up :-)

I've been under general twice in the last 12 months and come through it fine on both occasions.
I'm sure she will be fine.

It happens. My son years ago trapped his finger in a door and nearly severed it. Poor little mite had to have plastic surgery but now at 9 years old, you would hardly think he knew to keep out of trouble. Not a day does not go by with a graze, bump, scrape you name it !

She'll be fine mate! General anesthetic is no big deal for kids these days and it sounds like a very minor op.

Frankly, I'd be more concerned about the effect of the acute stress levels on your coronary health!

Let us know how she gets on!

thoughts with you, but sure she be fine mate.

having watched my 2 year old going under, theres no denying it is not pleasant - and for me, one of the few times where emotion over rules logical thinking.
but sure she be back up and into bumps and scrapes before you know it lol

its not until things like this happen you really understand what you may have put your own parents through as a kid, without even giving it a second thought lol.

Worrying is perfectly natural. Youll never stop, in fact.

Just got back, she is unaffected lol. I can't wait to go to bed tonight to get today done and finished. After 20 sets of forms with 20 different people and repeatedly saying
"Yes she was born 01/01/11" i'll be glad not to another form in my life.
I stayed away from her being anesthetized but rescued her from recovery so the mrs wasn't best pleased.

Thank you for the messages of support its much appreciated. I'll get some before and after pics up later (If I'm still awake).
