Have a look and most aren't even charities, they are simply 'recycling companies' who will donate a portion of the profit to charity.
Proper rip off and the reason so many are comign through the door.
Doesn't help you can't just leave stuff at charity shops like you used to though.

Most of those are Romanian companies who promise to donate £50 out of every £1000 they make. Those bins in the supermarket car parks though are actually operated by the charities themselves.

I do give clothing to charity, ironically at the moment it is to Romiania via a (British) contact I know who does charity work over there...he has no main interest in clothes (although he'll take what he can get) but he's mainly after blankets and what can be turned into blankets and bedding (curtains etc).
Its so shameful to have that country as part of the EU.

What caught my eye in the programme was two cops wasting their time trying to book some old tramp for nicking a cat scratching post that someone had left outside. FFS haven't they got better things to do?

Quite a few are operated by a private company "in support of" some "real charridee"!!
Whether that charridee actually knows this, let alone gains from it, may need checking out!!

Was I mistaken or did one of the officers have a gay pride badge on his tie? Not to judge but I'm sure he wouldn't be allowed to wear a christian cross etc.
