Exactly what my plans are, got a 64gb 4s and it's up for renewal in July which is when the s3 is rumoured to be out. Can upgrade after 9 months so figured worth a go, had a good play with an android phone and quite liked it

I made the move a month or so ago. So far I'm not missing much other than the locked music files from the early days of the iTunes store. Just gearing myself up for a burn/rip session because there's no way I'm paying Apple for the same music twice. So far I haven't found an app I care about that is not available on Android.
The screen on the GS3 is fantastic compared to the one on my old iPhone (a 3s, not a 4). I've stopped taking my Kindle when I travel now because the Android Kindle reader is so good.

Do what I did and just get a 32gig ipod touch and get the galaxy phone. That way you can play on the ipod games as much as you want and your phone still have a full charge plus both take up no space at all when at work.
The s3 takes a micro sd card so my 64gig card will fly straight into that

I have had my HTC Desire for a year and "it just works" to steal and Apple-ism, I can have whatever I want through work and see no reason to change, I like the Iphone, but I like this as well, I bought a new Ipad the other day and its very nice, getting one through work as well so i will have two Ipads (not combining as the company one has spy software which means the sysadmin tells you what kinds of **** you like).
The Iphone used to be head and shoulders better than anything else, but the others have caught up, and in some cases surpased Apple, dont take it personally. people even now recognise HTC, Samsung etc as not being the poor relation, the thing you get when you cant run to an Apple product, the wooden spoon, in fact in my techy workld, the Galaxy S2 is considered the best smartphone atm.
I still maintain that I am not totally sold on the tablet thing, I still use my old Dell D610 running Ubuntu on the arm of the chair for most surfing duties, lovely as the Ipad is, it doesnt stand up on its own and gets uncomfortable to hold, so a seven year old laptop is better for that job, Ipad is ideal for surfing in bed.
Saying that, the Dell died last night, maintenance mode 67 or something, gutted, now to dig a replacement out of the scrap pile

Apple's walled garden, you will either miss it or not depending on your opinion/experience. Personally I much prefer the wife's Android where you just drag files onto it. I prefer the option to use flash and download what I want rather than have it filtered for me. Hers works better as a phone as well, when you try to answer a call it does so, and when you use applications they don't close as much as iOS (updated, but Safari and other apps just close on both our devices which haven't got wet, been dropped or jailbroken).

I'm not that impressed tbh, seems more like a galaxy s2.5. Sure it's got a quad core processor but what's the point. Dual core processors have hardly been pushed to their limits.

The galaxy is the better phone and it also comes in 16/32/64 gig versions and takes a micro sd card. Time will tell but there is no way the HTC will be more popular. Samsung may loose sales due to the size? I'm now going to either get an iphone 4s or wait and see what the next version iphone will be, as phones are getting far too big for my liking.
