I was driving south down the A5 and turning off at Milton Keynes train station, the rain was heavy and the spray from the cars in front was bad.

For some reason I decided to sit at 50 in the slow lane (me being me I'm normally gunning it)

In the spray I see what looks like a black carrier bag floating in the air. I ignored it and continued until it got closer and turned out to be a lorry wheel!

It bounced just short of the bonnet, over the car and into the bushes... Slammed the brakes on and a bit of swering later i pulled over

I have never been so scared in all my life. I sat there and just thought about what could have been... And the fact I've just pooed myself.

I got off at the junction and turned back round to find the lorry parked up in a parking bay with its rear axle collapsed. Huge gashes in the road.
I wish I got pics but was more concerned with nearly dying..

Guess its not my time.

one day the wheel fell off my car as I had put it back on after changing a puncture and cross threaded the bolts in my haste to get it back on again. Luckily I was driving slowly through a housing estate but it didn't stop the wheel bouncing along the road for several hundred yards before coming to a stop beside a group of the local kids who through that it was very funny
