What a dick as looks pretty much showing off to me that went badly wrong. Couldn't believe it when it gets airborne again. I bet he needed clean underpants when he got back to base and had to explain the damage to the underside.

I don't think he made it back to base, watch it again (the end bit)

Does it not start to climb right at the end of the clip just as it cuts? It looks at first as though its about to flip forward as itbhits the fround and slides, then seems to stabilise before getting off the ground again?
Just seen what you mean now I hadn't noticed that last second right in the distance after it gets airborne it then spirals How the hell did he survive that?

Looks more like he got his stall turn wrong at a low altitude and didn't have the height or the power to pull out of it on the drop?

Showing off I expect and then didn't take into account the altitude, and hence lack of air density = naff all lift (they are not short of power).
If it is Marzak, then that is up around 8500 feet = not much air.

The film makes it look as though he allowed the rotor blades to slow down too much during his steep pull up for the building. If you do that in a helicopter there is insufficient power to accelerate them up to the required speed range and you are in the position where you are unable to prevent the descent of the machine as happened in this case. They have to be accelerated to the required speed range before take off and kept within that range while in flight. The blades apear to be almost stationary just before it crashes.
Big mistake!
