I always thought you could just go to edit your post, and unclick the box.

I tried it here, hence the edit and i can now say that idea doesn't work and i've been subscribed to this thread.

How do I stop the emails from threads everytime someone posts to it??

Once you've enabled it, you can't turn it off.

If it's a major problem, use Report to Moderator to ask for it be closed.
