Fuel going up?
Irrespective of the UK not using much of Irans oil, will this bit of news just give oil companies an excuse to raise the price?

What evidence is that? The only OPEC member which is likely to side with Iran is Venezuela. The bulk of OPEC production is from the Sunni gulf states. Why would Saudi want to side with its strategic enemy?

Won't matter what anyone does. Fuel WILL go up.
I said when it was nudging £1 a litre that we HAD to agitate and stop it going over that level, and that if we didn't, we could stand back and watch the oil companies run with the price.
I even went on some refinery demos.
But for no gain.
And here we are.

If tax doesn't come from fuel, where else will it come from?
This Iran issue - sounds more like Iran trying to take its toys away before its told to go play on its own anyway.
If our fuel prices go up because of Iran then its more likely an excuse rather than genuine pressure on UK oil requirements.

Not sure about £2.80 by next month, but it will certainly hit £1.50 very shortly.
Reports have said that if Iran was bombed, fuel prices would rise substantially.
I could see it hitting £1.70 by the end of summer.
