i doubt this story very much. a week or so yes, but come on nearly two months stuck in his car. i smell a rat. the police say they have no reason to doubt his story but i think something is up.

I agree with Sinky that something is not quite right here. With temps down to -30c it would be very difficult to survive the night let alone 2 months.

Assuming he was a big chap to start with, you could survive many weeks without eating. But it is the cold that is strange, humans do not have the ability to slow their metabolism down in cold temperatures to survive continual cold and without 'fuel' (i.e. food) the body would not be able to product sufficient heat within the sleeping bag.

Probably had a few mars bars and snacks in the car and ran the engine periodically.. The only protective mechanism humans have left is the Diving Reflex (MDR).

Why would you not try and find help / safety rather than `hibernate` till help arrives?
