David,

LOL. Goldies were allways a pain, pesky ECMs. MOSCs were much better for free TV. Did you ever visit modshack?

Si.

Michelle,

Anyone owed money by ITV Dig has to join the list of creditors, there are no guarantees of any refunds.

Channel hopping is supposed to be fun, my girlfriend does enough of it :-)

Now ITV Digital gone bust they've said that the Playoffs will be on a free ITV Dig channel, is there any way of picking this up off Sky Dig?

Not that I know of. ITV Sport was a pay channel that they are now showing for free. They offered SKY this channel to show the European Cup but they rejected it. From what I hear even the free channels such as BBC1 will go off soon as the digital platform will be turned off not just the pay channels.

Info for ITV Digital folks:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/bus...00/1897086.stm

You will lose the pay-TV channels you have subscribed to, such as Sky Sport and MTV.

But even now that your subscription channels have disappeared, your set top box will not be completely useless.

At least for now you will be able to use the box to access free-to-air digital channels, such as BBC Choice, BBC News 24, BBC4, ITV2 and S4C.

Sky do a deal if you order online, £1 for installation (instead of £70).
I order it last friday and it's getting installed this Friday

E4 is being broadcast free for about 2 weeks then it will stop as the whole platform is brought down. Get ready for your set-top boxes to be taken back and shipped to Russia. What am I going to do with my Elvis (pic programmer) anyone want any credit cards making.. Only joking.

David,

A MOSC was a "Modified Original Smart Card", you use the programmer to alter the channel line up on the smart card giving you all the channels. Never gets attacked by ECMs as it is an original card from ITV Digital. It cost £10 a month for the basic subscription.

P.S. All the info I post is gathered from another forum and obviously I have never used any of the info to defraud ITV Digital of any money :-)

One of the main reasons ITV Digital has gone bust is because of all the pirate cards.

Bet it doesn't seem worth it now.

Everybody I know who has ITV Digital has pirate cards. Friend of a friend could get hold of them for £15 each.

Question

Damn highwayman!

So just out of interest because I am purely interested is it possibly in theory to have pirate cards for Sky Digital for purely educational purposes??

Any websites I could look at?

rik1471,

Have to disagree. ITV Dig went under due to incompetence in their management teams and the belief that any one was going to want to watch league football. Most people who use goldies would not subscribe to ITV Dig due to the poor content and poor picture quality, they would of gone with SKY as I am doing now.

I just stick to terrestial TV

If I had SKY I would just end up flicking through all of the channels and still not finding something to watch

Are people who have bought ITV digital subsrciptions gonna get any form of compensation?
