Default weekend break..

I was looking at booking a Forest Holiday Cabin for a weekend away, however the cabin I was after has been booked. Does anyone have any other suggestions for somewhere for the misses & I + the pooch, ideally with a hot tub and within a 3hr drive of the midlands..

Ta

What about Lake District? I think that is within 3 hours from Midlands. If so, Google search the holiday solutions in that area. If that's where you were going originally, try Snowdonia in North Wales. I have no idea if they do cabin thingies there, but its worth a go. I do salute you for thinking of cabin type of holidays in this freezing weather. Its really brave of you.

Do a google search for "fron cottage" which in port Merrion, north Wales. Me and the wife went there last march for 3 nights and took the dog with us, it is a cottage rather than a cabin but it's a fantastic location and really very nice accommodation. The owners live next door who are very friendly.
To be fair the prices are also very reasonable.

I have a few work colleagues who have also been and loved it.

Well worth a look

Forgot to mention, no hot tub I'm afraid

Cheers..

Lake District is well within range, as is Devon or Northumbria.. We have been to loads of cottages in the Lakes and Devon / Cornwall, but I was specifically looking for somewhere with a private hot-tub.. From the majority of searches I have done most of the accommodation with a hot tub, the property itself isn't quite up to the standard I'd like inside..

There was a place up in the north on one of the lakes near Windermere. Can't remember what lake it was on but the place was called Pine Lakes.

We stayed there around 4 years ago now and the log cabin we had was right on the bank of the lake (spitting distance) and it had a Sauna, sorry not a hot tub. Was a nice stay for a week

The lodge we stayed in was the one that sticks out the most on the first pic

I would have suggested Pembrokeshire too.

I used to live just outside Saundersfoot in New Hedges.

That looks really nice. When you going? Could you report back with a review?
