Best mobile contract
All you experts on mobile contracts - tell me who would be the best provider for the following requirements
1,000 minutes in UK mobile/land line average per month
200 minutes calling abroad - US and India mostly
2-400 minutes roaming every other month from US, Switzerland and India
2 x iPhone 4GS
1 UK mobile broadband
I can get good deals on UK calls, been offered the 4GS 32GB for £30 (will not give it to me for free on principle - but I will not pay on principle).
Where the deals hit me hard are roaming in and calling to India.
I am currently with Orange. Bills currently average £120 for a non-roaming month to £250-500 for a roaming month.

I think you will be hard pressed to get anything inclusive for US or India. Data or voice.
Even in the corporate world, inclusive data for iphones is limited. Global Blackberry data they can do. Any simple iPhone tariff seems limited to Europe only. For the rest of the world, you are better off not using it!

That is why I am paying through the nose.
Not interested in BB - and most plans limit calls and roaming in Asia - iPhone or not.
I will just have to get two phones - an iPhone and one of those 1p a minute mobiles to India.

Get a dual sim converter, they cost about £5, rebooting the phone switches the sim.

The killer is calls abroad and roaming.
US calls are not too bad; Swiss middling and India is very expensive per minute.
Roaming in India is killer.

Got a reasonable deal with Orange in the end.
Had to pay 100 for the handsets but the TCO of the contract was way better than any other operator (64gb and 32gb 4S)
Between the two phones..
£55 month contract - down from £70
1,500 minutes
100m international free
750mb browsing free
500 texts (iMessage negates any value here anyway)
This will reduce annual costs be £500 easily

I do use Skype a lot - super cheap for calling the US and quite cheap for India.
Don't always have a good internet connection and some hotels seem to throttle VOIP applications.
