It's good, but it needs more bass. Just a sub bass to follow the track and make the low end thump. It could sit very easily under the kick drum if side-chained to it. no more than 70Hz

I really like that. Nice loop in the background, the rapping sounds effortless and there is no hint of them trying to be something they are not ie black.
On top of that it has a sense of humour.
They make me think of a sort of English Beastie Boys.

exactly! there music reflects everyday stuff that goes on in there lives which makes it funny to listen too, nothing they do is fake and like you say,they dont try to be someone they're not. My brother has been doing this sort of stuff for a long time now and although he's never made it (unfortunatly) his group is very well know within the hiphop circle not only in the uk but overseas too.

It really is very good. On the whole I don't like a lot of modern rap, especially UK stuff. I still listen to the old stuff I grew up with from the early days ie Afrika Bam, GM Flash, Man Parrish etc and then through to Public Enemy, Run DMC, LLCJ, NWA, Ice T etc. I'm a bit of an aficionado of early rap/electro lol
Your brother's stuff actually sounds quite fresh, it has a unique slant. Its a real shame that he hasn't had some commercial success

Now you guys are talking... The old street sounds electro is where It's at. My brother is actually good friends with mc chill ,members of arleem and Morgan khan, he also had a lot to do with the organization of this years UK fresh concert

N Dubz and the like is what puts me off modern urban music. I'd rather listen to your brothers tunes than that sh2t any day of the week

I was meant to go to that but came down with a flu. Must say though that the line up was a little disappointing as was the venue. I went to the original UK Fresh back in 1986, fricking awesome dude, fricking awesome!
We had Mantronix, Afrika Bam, Real Roxanne, Just Ice, World Class Wrecking Crew and more. It was a mega event in a way that sadly the event this year probably wasn't

Yeah, my bro got a bit of stick off the forums for this years gig, a lot of people were expecting more old school performer's but he said trying to pull them out of retirement, was a task and a half, nothing will beat wembly arena for 86 though I suppose,, the Music was in its element in those days , think my brother went to the afternoon slot.. I went to the history museum with my parents that day as I was only 12.. lol

I like it, I wouldn't say it is particularly catchy though. I love the GLC (what I am basing the rest of this comment on) and I suppose they will need a track that appeals to a much bigger audience to break through like they did.

Donald D gets about..lol ;
I remember meeting chuck D /flava flav and terminator X in the manchester apollo back in 88/89 when they toured with run dmc and Derek B...
I'm really liking the pedigree chumps style. Bar brawl had some good 'old school' transforming on it.
