Yeah they're great pics and as soem of the guys on PH said, great for us modellers. It just so happens that I have a 1/72 scale Avro Vulcan kit (XH588 to precise) to build so they will definitely come in handy.

Thanks Jamie, brings back some special memories of course.

It was surprising how small a "bucket of sunshine" looked when hitched up in the bomb bay. PSL will back me up on that!

Vulcans amongst others were for persuading the other side that it would be a serious mistake to start anything!

Thats a pretty good run down of the Vulcan's career. Like the Canberra and the VC10, the Vulcan served the RAF with distinction as a very effective deterrent until it was taken out of service. It was very well feared by the other side.

Quite right CPD, I did two of those exercises and in both sessions they never got a hit on a Vulcan, They were pretty impressed with the Buccaneer lads too!
