We've got the tv on loud but they're both bricking it!! Jess (almost 2) didn't care last year and infact sat on the lawn watching them but not this year!! Sasha (staffy/Doberman cross) has even been chewing her paws which I can only assume is a nervous thing!

Our Small Poodle/Terrier cross went out to have a look, took it all in then took a leisurely slash, did a bit of border patrol and came back in, all the while it was like the Gaza strip, didn't bat an eyelid, well, being called Rambo wouldn't be right if he was a fanny about explosions.

yeah i dont like seeing animals dstressed, but family or organised events between say 6pm-9 is acceptable imo.
but its the fact they go on all bloody night - literally 2am and someone was lettng of what sounded like 1000lb bombs - the loudest ive heard in my whole life. w*nkers!!
also while me and my mate were showing our kids, how to be resposible lighting them and in clear area ect, about 2 mins later a group of young boys charge round the corner throwing lit fireworks at each other?
on other hand both our daughters were shoutin g instructions on how many meters to stand back ect, was comical but good to see they had a decent understanding of saftey even at 6 and 8 years old -they new the rules

You all need to get proper dogs
My idiot hound spent most of tonight running up and down the garden, with her tail wagging so fast it was a blur, trying to get to them
Two of the cats have spent the last three nights sat on next doors garage roof watching the pretty lights
The third cat has spent most of the last couple of weeks buried under the bottom of our duvet, he doesn't like winter

None of my animals seem too bothered by them which is good. Dog doesn't care unless he's out in the garden, then he will bark if a loud one goes off, but he's not scared by them. Three of my cats don't notice and the other looks around as if to say WTF, but then goes back to sleep.

While the fireworks are on have you tried giving them a treat they can't resist? to take their minds off it?
We only give our dogs dried liver after calling them back once off the lead - then they know they come back they get something amazing...
When we go to firework shows we give them those whitish chews that hsould take hours to eat but they do them in 15mins - while eating it they don't care about the noises...
