WAHOO!
It's that time of year again and this year I reckon this would make a fantastic group outing
I went last year (James Bond Theme) and this was the best fireworks display I've *ever* seen, and believe me, I've seen a few Even better than the Sheffield Don Valley and Leeds Castle ones which were also fantastic
The theme for this year is 'The Magic Of The Movies' and will feature music from such blockbuster films as Apollo 13, Harry Potter, Spiderman and Star Wars - The Phantom Menace
I've managed to get us a whole £1 off (yeah, yeah, the negotiation course is booked, but at least that will pay for your candy floss ) if we get 15 or more coming, but that is an equivalent to £2.50 on the day - and that's alot of Candy floss Adults are £6 and kids £3, entry includes the motor museum before 3pm and there's a traditional English Fair there too...this is a good one for all the family and all you lot who aren't based in Hampshire
the programme:
The Firework Spectacular
Proposed schedule of events is as follows; to be confirmed.
3.00 pm. National Motor Museum, Palace House and Gardens, and Abbey will be open. Beaulieu Rides and Drives, Old Time Fairground Rides and Sideshows open - please note good value extra charges will apply to all rides and drives from this time.
5.00 pm. Palace House and Abbey and Exhibition will close.
6.45 pm. Mark Collins Wave 105s afternoon presenter live on the Wave Zone
7.00 pm. Lighting of the bonfire and then
7.30 pm. The Souths most spectacular firework display, 'Magic of the Movies', set to music.
Afterwards the Fairground entertainment continues together with the Monorail, Fast Trax, Remote Controlled Cars, Simulator and Wheels.
If you're not interesting in coming with us but still want to attend, On the day tickets, valid from 3.00pm on the 25th October :
Adult £8.50
Child (5-17) £5.00
Family £24.00
Please note normal Beaulieu rates apply if arriving at the complex before 3.00pm on the 25th October 2003.
LET ME KNOW IF YOU'D LIKE TO ATTEND BY THE 10th OCOTBER, any later and it will be up to you to organise your own tickets Either post here or e-mail jen@hantsscoobies.plus.com
Thanks
Jen
(already getting a little over-excited! )

Hopefully not! It's just the music that the fireworks are set off too and, if it's like last year, the actual fireworks will have a link with the film, eg Diamonds are Forever they set off the fireworks to form diamonds.
Just read that back - does that make any sense at all?! Sure Jen will be able to explain it better

Yup - you're right Chris - Child prices apply for 5 - 17 (under 5's free...)
Reib, look forward to seeing you and Stevie in the Storm troopers outfits! lol!
Stuart had a good point, family tickets (2 childs and 2 adults) are £20 at the lowest cost, so it would be cheaper to get the group rate

lol!
It would be nice if they did, but to be honest - I don't even want to ask! Last year was MASSIVE, we arrived early and there was queue's of cars as far as the eye could see. They had it organised as a military operation and as long as we all arrive together they will put us together It was at capacity last year though
Symon - no problem, not long now
I'll be collecting money etc. at the Monday meet - again, cheques etc. won't be cashed until I've got all the tickets so no danger off loosing your money

Ticket's booked
Will be sending tickets out in the post for Peanuts and Martine, Stuart and his family and Simon +4...I'd be grateful if you could Peanuts and Symon could drop me a line with an address I can post the tickets to
That way you can all arrive whatever time you like for the Motor Museum and Abbey/Fiar ground etc. (those with Littlies may want to arrive a bit nearer the fireworks time) and maybe we can meet up to watch the fireworks? Let me know what you think

Hi guys - spoke to Beaulieu today as I still hadn't recieved the tickets, they apparently posted them on the 15th but will leave some at there reception for me to pick up tomorrow.
Soooo, I will pick them up tomorrow and they will be appearing (hand delivered ) to you homes either tomorrow night or Friday night (or afternoon if I can think of a reason for a long site visit only joking, honest!) Sorry for the delay.
Andy - can you send me your address?
NOT LONG TO GO NOW!
If anyone wants to meet up, I'll be at the bonfire at 6:30/6:45 onwards (in my Subaru fleece! ) and then we can all meet to watch the fireworks and have a chat about Scoobs etc?

Jen,
Lisa and myself may be coming along now, as we are heading off to Scotland Sunday morning so will still be around. Are you all meeting up for a drive down or doing your own thing?

Hiya Steve!
I think the plan is to all do our own thing until about 6:30/6:45ish when we're meeting by the bonfire...that way those who want to look around the abbey/motor museum etc. can and those that don't don't have to and can turn up any time they like
...at least I think that's the plan

Hiya Ralf (nice car! )
We should be pretty easy to spot, I'll be in my Subaru Fleece and Steve should be wearing a storm troopers outfit ( )...Will be there sometime in the PM to, the Abbey House is open 'till 5pm (which is lovely) and the museum is open all the time, so there's plenty of time to look around
Well worth a visit on it's own and the fireworks are *excellent* Look forward to meeting you all...
Jen
P.S. Symon (and maybe Andy!) tickets will be delievered tonight, had a *massive* headache last night Sorry...

Andy - if you still want tickets can you drop me a line with your home address in so I can drop them off? Either that or I can arrange to meet you outside Beaulieu with them at a set time?
Thanks
