Default travellers sites????

just wanted ask a quick question regarding travellers and their sites

planning permission will be going into process soon for a travellers sites situated less than 1 mile form where i live (in a nice residential area)

pretty much all residents are opposed to the idea, and have set up a commitee to raise money to form a legal case. apparantly it can de-valuate the house prices in the area, and usually brings more crime and violence to the area. (only going off what ive read) also police will very rarely intervene with them if causing a problem

if accepted it will house 12 plots and so anything upto a double decker load of them

now in the past i've only heard bad things about them, and numerous times we have had a van full of them turn up at our work trying to steal all our scrap metal etc

any1 else had issues with them at all

www.nicehonestgypsies.co.uk is a popular one. www.thievingpikeytwats.com is better.

Currently going through the motions down my way looking for 'suitable plots' for sites. Naturally, being an employed tax payer, I have concerns.

4 plots have been suggested by the local council, 3 of which are within 1/2 mile of my place... because its a nice area, with plenty of fields.

I used to go to school with a number of 'pikeys' (thats the most accurate name for them) and know exactly what they're like... im not happy about the prospect of having them anywhere near me.

Good luck with your fight

Phone Vanessa Redgrave for advice.
I would sell immediately, before the local houses are worthless.
Have you complained to your Chief Constable that the police "will very rarely intervene with them if causing a problem" What problems have they caused so far that the police have ignored ?
Best of luck
