Default Washing machine help white bits on blacks clothes

The mrs keeps going mad because everything time she washes anything black they come out with loads of small white bits on.

I have cleaned the bottom filter and put on a empty hot wash but still the same.

The machine is a electrolux washer dryer.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Vallum, Are you using tablets? try a liquid for a while. Some tablets need to be put in the draw or into a little baggie to disolve correctly. Are you using them correctly?

Try watering down the conditioner (if you use it).

Run a de-scaler liquid through the machine.

Just had the same with our old Miele machine, mrs going mad & "all clothes are ruined.."
It's more than likely limescale as previously mentioned.

Did a 90 degree wash with bleach then used a descaler in the drum & finally just a normal wash.

Made no difference, still got little bits on so I got the credit card out & replaced it!

Excess use of liquid detergents and low temperature washes can lead to a build up of a black mould which coats most internal parts of the machine (and sometimes the door seal) another give away sign is a rotten egg type of smell coming from the machine when not in use.
The white bits are most likely limescale as mentioned above.
Try getting hold of some washing soda and put a big cup full inside the drum and some more inside the soap drawer. Put the machine through on a boil wash (With no clothes in) this can sometimes help.
If the black bits you're mentioning are getting on the clothes in conjunction with it getting noisy when spinning it's a sign that the drum bearing seal has failed and grease is being washed out of the bearing and into the drum.

Same here!

Even multi de-scale couldn't cure it - if it's gone too far it will just keep on afflicting the clothes with dandruff.

It's highly likely to be the binder used in your washing powder tablets, we switched back to loose powder and the white flecks disappeared

We don't have the mould problem Bods, my work shirts get boiled to within an inch of their lives every week, that tends to clear the system
