SERIOUSLY!! I mean, a little disrespectful if intentional, but did a member of the public REALLY phone the police to report broken glass on the pavement in that area after a Saturday night!

Smacks of the Police being damned if they do, damned if they don't.

should have been copper turns up and says, 'yep smashed bottle, i'll get council to comw and clear glass up. Did anyone see it happen? No, ok afraid nothing i can do.' job done, case closed.
Considering they just give you a crime number over the phone when your car get broken into and don't even come to look then an investigation is way ott.

I do think its an awful waste of their time, and needed a road sweeper rather than a response car, but I guess it all would have been on CCTV, so they prob looked at that, recognised the face, and knocked on their door lol.
Remembering that one or two of the original lads is about to go back on trial for the murder, so I guess there will be some negative feeling towards the situation again now.
Fair play to the police for dealing with it though
