After skydiving for many years, it was finally time to give BASE jumping a go. Thought you guys might like to see a couple of my initial jumps.

Lovely weather, great mates and some fun jumps

Cool vid And much respect!

Would love to do this, been trying to find a good adrenaline rush for a while. Last 'crazy' thing I did was 'the nevis' bungee jump in New Zealand...

(not my pic, just pulled off web)...

How do you go about getting into Base jumping? I have skydived before but only with friends tandem.

You'd need as an absolute minimum about 300 skydives, though ideally a heck of a lot more to make sure your canopy control is up to scratch.

Then you have to find and experience BASE jumper to mentor you and help you get into the sport

It was for PSLewis... I joke. One of the guys we were with is an extremely experienced BASE jumper, so we were doing some filming with him interview style. English isn't his first language, so the camera guy explained how to answer the question as me asking the questions would be edited out. As an example, he said if i asked what your favourite car was, you'd say, my favourite car is a Honda - as he'd been going on about his great honda.

He then when asked any question, like 'how did you get into base jumping', answered - my favourite car is Honda.. I got into BASE jumping... just to wind up the camera guy

Na, **** that!

Out of curiosity - how do you get back up, or is it just one go only.

That's a negative ghost rider. No reserve canopy here - we only carry one canopy. No time to use a reserve

Ah yes, Jeb. Media *****. He must have filmed that same line a million times. There are much better proximity fliers out there who don't shout about it. Such as this guy (who's my boss and taught me to BASE jump) - http://www.vimeo.com/28298377

Land, pack, use a little road to get back to the top. Different objects need different things. This one was quite easy

Crazy Too scary for me, I'd always be nervous about the chute ...

I do wonder why peeps do it though, adreneline rush of course but you really are risking life & limb every time.

I spent many years avoiding having to use a parachute, I certainly don't intend to start now!
