Default Friends and money

I'm starting to get annoyed at a friend of mine. He owes me a few quid - nothing major, but its the principle. He's had a while to give me the money back and to be honest I've not really put him under pressure as I know he's been a bit skint the last few weeks.

Anyway I've now sent him two texts telling him I'm going away tomorrow and could do with the cash - no reply, shocker.

What really pisses me off is that he's a tradesman and all of his work comes through his mobile phone. He doesnt have the excuse of the phone not working otherwise he'd go bust.

I'm more annoyed at the fact he's blatantly ignoring the texts. If he'd have replied with a text saying he really can't afford it, thats fine, just ignoring it is just plain rude in my book.

Don't fall out with a mate over money, just don't lend him any again.

Put it down to experience and just shame him out in the pub in front of other mates

yep, if hes one of "them" (i think we all know one somewhere) just tell him to get the ale in every time you see him and tell him you are skint and you will knock it off what he owes you.

Phone a few mates and organise a game of rounders for everyone. The balaclavas are optional, but it is mighty windy at the minute, so this is to stop you getting windburn and a neat trick with the rope, is to tie your belongings to a fence, this is a security measure, but it also keeps your stuff off the damp floor. I am not sure if the glove contravenes any rules mind you, loads of stuff here ..

I do not lend, or borrow. Not anymore.

A mate once bought my daughter a toy for a tiny £15 and didn't let up for three days!

In the end I went to the bank, drove the 20 mins to his flat and gave his mrs the money. Guess what? He was working away until Fri, and we were seeing him on Sat!

If it were £150 I could understand his persistance!
