Regtransfers - anyone used them? ?
Selling a private plate via regtransfers, anyone here done so? ?appreciatte there valuations are normaly way of the real value !! but just be interessted to here how they work in terms off fees etc and just how well do they actually do in selling your plate as personally feel there valuations are just so far out and cant see how they can actually sell so many plates at these prices ??!!

They don't. If it comes up, then they'll sell it but unless it is a really great one like 1 FAB or something, it'll just be on their lists.
Better off hanging on or selling privately.

They do - to people too silly to buy them from the DVLA.
They don't have all the plates they advertise, people buy one and they order it from the DVLA. Cut out the middleman and go direct.
If you have something that is ok but nothing special, like SA 03 SUB you might sell it to a Subaru owner but the plate itself isn't anything great so they won't be really marketing it.
Your target audience really is on here or pistonheads. I'd advertise that way.

They're a waste of time in my experience.
I got fed up waiting and just listed mine on ebay "buy it now, or best offer". Sold it within a couple of weeks, albeit for less than I wanted. Was just glad to get it away in the end.
No more £80 transfer fees on a plate worth £350! (less than half the list price on regtransfers.)
