Default Realistic reg valuations ??

Guys just wonder what sort off price I should ask if I were to sell the plate on my car ?? appreciatte there are no hard and fast rules and a plate is only worth as much as someone will pay you, have thought about getting a valuation from Regtransfers etc but again normally they just come back with an unrealistic figure ??!!

looked on the Regtransfers website at similar M7 *** plates but again in my eyes they are again unrealisticly priced 4 -11k !!

plate is : M7 LAF

Get a quote from one of the on-line companies and then half it. You'll probably still have to wait a long time. I've had B2 RDA for sale on those sites for over a year and nothing.....

Dont understand why any of those M7 plates above are worth more than £500? Is the 7 meant to read like a Y?

Yep as I say mate totally baffles me how these reg companies make any money they ask stupid amount for registrations that can be had elsewhere for a fraction off there price.

remember buying a JHZ**** plate via ebay for just a tenner, yep seller was putting them on at just £10 + you obviously had the £80 transfer fee but still only just £90 which is not bad for hiding the rear off the car and that fact that JH is my initials as well !!

possibly just keep the plate as I say just wondered what they normal go for .

thanks again

It's one of my pet hates when people try to cobble together a load of random letters & numbers into a 'personal' plate. If you can't afford the real thing it just looks cheap & tacky.

IMO:
£500 minimum
£1K tops

So I'd say £750 would sound fair, but being honest anything goes; its all down to if someone wants it or not.

I'm currently trying to sell three non-age related plates and the offers from the likes of Elite were just ridiculous.

ive a 3+3 and a j4 plate the 3+3 was valued by regtransfers at £1000 and the j4 plate at £800, yet they would sell them on their site for £1900 and £1700 respectively.....

im going to keep hold of them.
