Well done Skoda.
One of the best 'normal 'cars out there.
Surprised there is any prejudice out there at all from car lovers in this day and age
Didn't lamborgini or one of the supercars just make tractors once? Times change

I'm no snob, I own two Skoda's, and pay for their constant repairs. Just today I needed to retrofit some hand-brake calliper lever tensioners from an Audi A3 because VW/Skoda decided the same Girling units on the Fabia didn't need them. And had to replace a leaking bleed nipple. And still have to repair the leaking rear washer pipe which subsequently blows the rear screen heater. And the console bushes are feeling dodgy, AGAIN ! As well as the clutch nearing termination. I had all four doors re-sprayed due to corrosion, and the rear door seals modified to stop the common leak. The wife's Octavia still has the airbag light on because VW can't design a wiring loom which also allows you to adjust the height of the seat without it failing. And she has no radio as they decided to put the signal booster directly under the arial where water leaks in. The drivers seat fabric came apart, and the height adjuster is temperamental. When I wanted to fit a stronger rear ARB 6 out of the 8 bolts snapped off.
German engineering at its flimsiest.

Sorry you are having a bad experience but my view is
1.Audi...nice inside but completely overpriced Skoda and the Superb would give an A4/A6 a good run for its money
2. VW...completely up there own ***** ,especially the dealers on the basis they aren't the premium brand so have a huge chip and like to slate the lesser models.I bought BMW rather the step inside a VW showroom again.
3.Seat..cheeky chappies of the range with some fun cars
4.Skoda...they couldn't give a **** what anyone thinks, nor do the owners. They just make great cars for those that don't get upset at what the neighbours think
5.Bentley...a nice Skoda
Nice one Skoda. When I can afford to buy another one of your cars(not cheap now!) i will.
200 plus from a 2.0 turbo..not bad!

Not unfair at all. My ownership experience of three Skoda's (2x Fabia vRS and Octavia PD140), along with 13 years with a Corrado and the wife having a Polo for 6 years are all woeful tales of unreliability and expense. I think they are great cars from new, serviced by the main dealer with everything sorted under warranty, but when they get over that honeymoon period they just start failing badly. The Scoob never missed a beat, no matter how hard it was driven. Amazingly, even the soul-destroying Corsa I rented for 7 months whilst training to be an ADI was faultless. The wife also had a Civic VTEC for a few years and that was brilliant too. Everything we've ever had from the VW stable has been a catalogue of irritation and expense, and I won't go there again. When I can afford to replace these two it definitely won't be Audi/VW/Seat/Skoda.

Well we are Mazda and BMW at the moment!
Sorry but have a real soft spot for Skoda and this is a real achievement.
And their Rally car looks flipping fantastic!!!!!!!!
