I think it is a bit of a thing with certain immigrant cultures that are not used to Dogs, we have a Pakistani friend (born here) and she cant abide the Dog, we have to put him outside, her son gets all scared and a couple of the Takeaway delivery guys have taken off at hight speed on seeing a Dog, especially one when we had "Bob Barker" the Border Collie who was a big bugger and had a look of Wolf, he shat himself, I guess if you aren't used to Dogs and never interact with them it can be pretty alarming as you dont know what they will do.
Came across that emotion on visiting our local mechanic at home to drop a car off and his Alsation came to greet me, barking and growling, I guessed if the gate was pen he wasnt a killer and just walked up without flinching and he just kept barking and then offered his head for a stroke, whilst looking a bit put out that I wasnt bothered.

LMAO, had this in our office.
A guy we know fairly well who is a customer next door keeps popping in for a chat to see how we are doing etc.
Thing is, lets just say people from a certain ethinic background do appear to have a stigma towards dogs, so on the one occasion when we had our dog in our office he shat his pants...This being a guy who usuallly is 'one of the lads' and likes to be a bit of a 'player'.
This is what he was confronted with:
I darnt not think how he would have reacted if we still had our dobermans

Pre-religion (or mythology) it was common sense as there was a lot of rabies about, and the c
fear makers built upon it.
Same as the wise men of the tribe forbidding the consumption of horses/donkeys as they knew they were far better used for transport.

And pigs with e.coli. Obviously they hadn't invented cured meats back then.
Anyhoo, what part of evolution says that my dog should feel the need to have a good old roll in a pile of horse shyte?
He absolutely loves the stuff, let him out of sight for one minute and there he is rolling in it

Dogs and goose doo doo - they love it and it is utterly vomit inducing when you smell the result, tail wagging or not..
