About £90-95, based on a real world 45mpg and £1.35/litre.

I would check the small print for any limited miles clause if the car is cheap, also does the price include insurance or do you need to use your own, etc.

You will need therapy after driving a Corsa though. The only way to recover from the abject depression is to write it off and save another poor soul the horror.

I used to use 3rd for the motorway at 7k+ in the hope that it might explode, and even did some green-laning to try and destroy it. In 7 months the only thing that broke was the brake light plunger switch So, 5* for reliability at least

700 miles in a day, in a small town car, take some pain killers, that is going to do your back in.

I assume if you cause damage of £1000, you pay the £400.

Thinks im back to taking mine as the insurance they give you included in the hire price only covers me for the first £600 of any damage

I can understand how you feel but sometimes you have to make a stand, for their own good as well as your own.

Could that possibly be because you never say no

Not being rude, but it's good for them to learn to be a little more independant and learn how to get about via public transport, also has the benefit of making them appreciate it more when you do give them a free ride

The only reason for my comment is like les i think it's a bit of a big ask if there is perfectly good public transport, if she has to change trains somewhere around half way then maybe pick her up from there.

And you also understand you're probably doing her no favours with your "generosity"?
