Switching Energy Suppliers
How much of a hassle is it moving energy suppliers?
I'm currently with British Gas for Gas - £50/month
Npower for Electric - £45/month
Looking on-line I can save a bit of money, but is it worth the hassle moving? Or is it worth putting both suppliers together who I'm currently it....I.e Both with BG or both with Npower?

Try the Utility Warehouse. My cousin is a rep.
Cut my bills way down.
Switched Gas, Electric, Phone, & Broadband. They did everything. Took weeks rather than months.
For all the above (based on a 2 bed flat) it cost me £80 a month.
All phone calls are free 24/7

I switched after my **** got too sore from being shafted by British Gas for years.
Piece of cake to do. I compared prices using this.

Very easy to do.
Recently went dual fuel by switching my electric to the same supplier as the gas and it was a piece of cake, one phone call, they did the rest. Just had to then ignore all the letters and phone calls from the old supplier begging me to stay.
I found that some of the electricity suppliers just compare the price per kWh on the day and night rates and generally concentrate on the day rates that were slightly cheaper but the night rates slightly more. When I checked my actual usage the night rate usage was much higher than the day usage so I wouldn't have been saving anything really. Then when I added the dual fuel discounts I ended up making quite a good saving.

Had a guy from E-ON at the door this afternoon trying to sell me a fixed rate deal that was about the same price as my existing BG deal which is due to go up massively in a few weeks.
No way am I signing up for anything there and then and sure enough what he had told me was not actually 100% accurate and even better Ovo have a fixed rate deal that is cheaper than what I am currently paying before the increase.
He's going to be disappointed when he rings me on Friday
