The 17-year-old sex offender, whose identity cannot be published, was convicted by a jury last year of rapes and sex with a child.
But despite having previous convictions for sexual offences and being a convicted rapist, Judge Christopher Metcalf granted him bail.
FFS! This is exactly what is wrong with the justice system - how can this scumbag be out on bail in the first place, given his crime

I suspect the supreme court will overturn the decision of the high court in the bail case. If not, the government will rush through legislation to make the case null and void.
I have to say, even working in the profession, some decisions of Judges still stun me.
